Larry has earned a solid reputation among colleagues, board members and industry leaders as an accomplished, creative strategist with high integrity. As a certified public accountant and former audit partner at Deloitte, Larry has the highest regard for business integrity, leadership, risk management and the importance of management accountability in running an organization. The need for clear business plans to accomplish the strategic mission of an organization are a focus of Mr. McManus in his work. Larry was employed in public accounting for thirteen years. He has spent the vast majority of his time in the “C suite” of hospitals since 1991. His positions included Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Caritas Christi, Chief Financial Officer of St. Josephs Hospital in Phoenix, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of St. Raphael’s Healthcare System and President and Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Health Services of Long Island. Larry is Managing Director of Integrity Management Advisors, LLC (IMA).

The priority of IMA is to provide consulting services to healthcare systems, hospitals and related organizations that expand and compliment the resources of the senior management team. Working as an extension of the senior management team, IMA consultants can help organize hospital-wide Bridge Plan℠ business and financial consulting service focused on areas of the system such as the revenue cycle, or organize clinical strategic planning efforts to help prioritize capital spend. Working closely with department heads and clinical leaders assures the hospital system that process improvement and business plans are integrated into the hospital so the impact of improved process remains after the consulting engagement is completed.

Larry holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Masters of Science in Health Administration.

John Burke
Senior Advisor

As Senior Advisor at Integrity Management Advisors, John works with physicians, nurses, medical groups, financial and business teams at all levels of the organization. We specialize in working with hospitals on financial and operational improvement consulting services. Using this approach that is patient centric, the goal is to promote the financial integrity of the healthcare system, while insuring high quality medical services to patients.

John provides strategic and tactical leadership, and plays a critical role in developing, planning, and implementing IMA’s technology and data strategy, primarily in support of implementing our Bridge Plan℠ business and financial consulting service more effectively and efficiently. This includes both the ecosystem of programmatic applications and planning tools as well as our mobile application.

John is a team builder that enjoys working in organizations that are in need of leadership, operational and financial improvement, customer service and collaboration and advanced technology innovation.

In addition to healthcare John has experience in internet startups, telecommunications, hospitality and manufacturing. John is an early adopter of new technology with hands-on experience developing apps for mobile devices.

John holds an Associates in Electronic Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Masters in Business Administration.

John Fitzgerald
Senior Advisor

John Fitzgerald is a senior advisor for Integrity Management Advisors with over 30 years experience in hospital financial management. John’s primary areas of expertise include governmental reimbursement systems, managed care contracting, budgeting and decision support, and revenue cycle management. He has extensive experience working with departmental managers to develop and implement Bridge Plans to maximize revenue, control expenses and increase operating efficiency. He has also provided leadership to Clinical Business Planning processes designed to better integrate clinical operations with financial management and to facilitate strategic investment in business growth opportunities.

Most recently, John served as Assistant Vice President of Finance at St. Raphael’s Healthcare System in New Haven, CT, where his primary responsibility was management of the revenue cycle. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer at various hospitals in Massachusetts, including St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center and Nantucket Cottage Hospital.

John has a bachelor’s degree in Public Health Administration from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Bentley College. He is a Certified Public Accountant with prior experience as a Senior Manager in the audit/consulting healthcare practice of Deloitte & Touche LLC.
